COPPER GRANULATE

The demand for copper as a conductive metal is rising due to the rapidly growing electronics industry. Even now, the demand for copper in Europe is higher than what can be produced in local mines. This is why the industry relies on recycling companies to create independence from copper-producing continents. At MRA – METALL RECYCLING AUFBEREITUNG GMBH, we want to contribute to this effort and help turn scrap back into valuable raw materials.

COPPER DUST / ULTRAFINE COPPER POWDER

Copper dust is obtained by grinding copper ingots or copper ore in a macerator.

Ultrafine copper powder is among the most expensive elements worldwide. This is not due to the material itself but rather to the complex production process. To obtain copper powder that can be used for medical purposes and in the aerospace industry, a purity level of at least 99.999% is required.

The demand for ultrafine copper powders is increasing in line with the ongoing miniaturization in many sectors.

Applications:

  • Food products, such as fondant and gum paste
  • Microelectronic devices
  • Lubricants for the pharmaceutical industry
  • and much more

Properties:

  • Best electrical conductor and corrosion-resistant among non-precious metals
  • Versatile in use
  • The isotonic composition is that of natural copper

Copper powder has a grain size of 3–10 μm and is non-radioactive

BRASS GRANULATE

Brass is a metal alloy made of copper (at least 50%) and zinc (5%–45%).
The color of brass can vary from light to dark golden yellow depending on the composition ratios.
Brass is slightly harder than copper, non-magnetic, and has good corrosion resistance and malleability.

Brass is used, for example, in plumbing installations, power plant and mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, electrical engineering, and more.

ALUMINUM GRANULATE

Aluminum is strong, lightweight, reflective, sustainable, malleable, and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust.
Aluminum is highly versatile and can be found in a wide range of industries. It is indispensable in many applications.

Aluminum is used in:

  • Wind turbines
  • Windows and doors
  • Facades
  • Transportation vehicles
  • Car bodies
  • All types of packaging
  • And much more
